Spring Fern Necklace
“ON A FROZEN TWIG, THE LITTLE BIRD DREAMS OF SPRING”
Sterling silver fern necklace, featuring a fresh green vesuvianite gemstone.
This silver fern pendant measures approximately 2.5″ long, including loop. Entirely created and forged from sterling silver, the fern leaf is topped with the freshest green vesuvianite stone. Oxidised and polished to highlight all the textures and make the stone shine it’s brightest, this piece brings the promise of spring, even while winter snow blankets the soul.
Solid and tactile, the fern pendant hangs from an oxidised sturdy sterling silver chain. All pendant loops have been soldered closed for strength and durability. This looks equally beautiful worn shorter against the chest (choose 16″, 18″ or 20″ chain) or choose the longer 30″ chain so that the pendant can be easily slipped over the head for speed and ease.
A beautiful wearable piece of nature; may it remind you that the light and warmth are just around the corner, and that even the darkest night cannot stop spring’s steady advance.
Please note, each piece is individually hand-forged by me. Two hands, traditional tools and a whole lot of love. There may therefore be very slight differences in each piece, but this means that yours, in some small way, will be entirely unique to you.
Part of my “Organics & Textures” collection, inspired by the natural world and the shapes and textures we see around us every day. Tree bark under the hand, sandstone underfoot, patterns on a leaf catching the eye. These pieces represent an emotional connectedness to the natural world. We evolved in nature, it is in our DNA. As busy lives force us to spend less time in it, it is important to carry a reminder of what majesty is out there waiting for us.
