Fused Silver Mountains Pendant
One-of-a-kind sterling silver pendant, created by fusing recycled sterling silver onto a flat sterling silver base. Created in fire, no two pieces can ever be the same.
The silver undulates, creating wonderful movement and depth. Mountains and valleys play with light and shade. Rugged yet oh-so-delicate; masculine and feminine all at the same time.
For me, this piece brings to mind the wonders of so many of my favourite mountain ranges – seen from afar as I drive towards them through dusty valleys, from up close as I ascend their stony paths, or from above as I gaze down on them from an airplane window. Oxidised and lightly polished to highlight all the beautiful details, this piece has so much interest and looks different from every angle. Just like the mountains that draw me in, this piece makes you want to keep looking at it, as it slowly reveals its wonders.
The pendant measures 6/8″ wide, set on a lightly oxidised sterling silver chain, in your preferred length.
Part of my “Fusion” collection, inspired by how all moments in your life come together to make you whole. I love being able to fuse separate metals together to create a completely new, and whole, piece. Due to the fusing process, each one is unique. It can never be replicated, just as every moment of your life is unique. These pieces represent those individual moments in your life that you need to remember, to keep close, as they will never come around again.
